Oregon Coast Summer Tour

The Oregon coast has everything a cyclist could want in a bike ride; magnificent ocean vistas, mild temps, quaint towns with seaside café’s, and generally favorable ocean breezes. With the spectacular vistas of rugged coastline on our right, it’s as easy as pulling off the shoulder and putting your foot down to drink it all in.

We will begin our summer tour early Sunday morning, meeting at the Radisson Hotel near the Portland Airport. From here we will shuttle to historic Astoria at the mouth of the Columbia River. From picturesque Astoria we will begin cycling south along Highway 101, adding a few side-trips along the way as we pedal south toward Crescent City, California. For six remarkable days we will cycle along sweeping sandy beaches and rocky coastlines, enjoying the views off scenic capes and of historic lighthouses. Take a moment as you cycle along to cast your view over the waters of the Pacific for signs of migrating whales, and keep an eye out for sea lions sunning themselves on rocks as the surf crashes against the coast below. We will ride 50 – 74 miles a day, but you ride the miles that fits you as the support van will always be nearby with refreshments and snacks, or just to Limo you along when you need a break from the bike seat.

Our first day of riding will bring us to Garibaldi in Tillamook Bay where we will spend the night at the Garibaldi House Inn & Suites. Day two we will cycle to Depoe Bay where we will lodge at the Crown Pacific Hotel. Day three we will ride to Florence and lodge at Old Town Inn. Day Four we will cycle into Coo’s Bay and lodge at Table Rock Hotel. Day five we will ride to Gold Beach, staying at the Pacific Reef Hotel. Day six we will finish our tour of the coast in Crescent City, California, staying at the Anchor Beach Inn.  On day seven, August 2nd, we will shuttle you back to the Portland Airport/Motels.
