Natchez Trace Historical Parkway -
a beautiful bending ribbon of smooth roadway, bordered by hardwoods, conifers, and wildflowers, which come to life in the spring and show their glory in the fall. Just relax and ride, enjoying the lush greenery, the wildlife, and the historical sites along the way.
No commercial traffic is allowed on the Parkway, and a 50 mph speed limit is enforced. All this makes the NTNP very likely the most bicycle friendly stretch of scenic road in America.

GOOD READING!! “History On A Bike” by Sheila Ruckley @ Amazon.com An enjoyable chronicle of Sheila’s Lewis and Clark Bicycle Tour with Historical Trails Cycling. Ride along with Sheila and her band of intrepid peddlers as she recounts the miles of historic highway, thunder storms, heat, hospitality, mosquito’s, snoring campmates and stolen bikes, always finding the humor in it all as the once posse of strangers become friends. An excellent read for anyone who has, or has the desire to, strike out on the open road.
